“okele-mbembe” The Mokele-mbembe is one of the most famous cryptids from the African continent. It originated from the deep rivers of the Congo, the creature has been described by the natives as a giant Lizard with a long neck, that kills hippos but does not eat them. Mójeles-mbembe translates to, one who stops the river’s flow. The creature is believed to be a living dinosaur or sometimes it’s believed to be a spirit that protects the jungles. Researchers who came to the natives, shows the natives a photo of a brontosaurus, and the natives began screaming the name “Mokele-mbembe” The creature is believed to be an elephant, yet the descriptions of the creature are closer to what we know today as a long neck dinosaur.
