The body of the caver Floyd Collins, who got trapped in Kentucky's Mammoth Cave in 1925. His foot was pinned by a rock in a narrow shaft and rescuers were unable to reach him... he died of thirst and hunger after 14 days. # This photo shows him two months later, when a recovery crew was finally able to haul his body out. # Poor old Floyd was later exhumed and put on display in a glass coffin inside of the cave for special tour visitor$ to gawk at; I actually own a very rare framed photo of him in his coffin that supposedly hung in the cave above his body (I only have a poor cell phone pic of it so I did not include it here, but if you're interested in seeing it DM me).
