An 18-year-old faces several counts of murder after he allegedly shot and killed four family members inside his home and engaged in a standoff with law enforcement prior to his arrest. On Tuesday, May 23, at 10:48 a.m., Nash Police Department officers responded to a residence on Lemon Acres for an "unknown issue," but soon learned there was a person barricaded inside with multiple deceased individuals. A Bowie County Sheriff’s Office negotiator made contact with the suspect, Cesar Olalde, and eventually talked him into surrendering. Police entered the home and located four victims, Aida Garcia, Reuben Olalde, Lisbet Olalde, and Oliver Olalde. Olalde allegedly "made statements that he had killed his family because they were cannibals, and they were going to eat him."
