ON this day, Mar. 26, 2021, Nude woman on heroin runs through downtown Ocean Springs There is much to be seen in downtown Ocean Springs, from a wandering rooster, to golf cart parades, to the occasional drunk staggering down the street. What isn’t typical -- particularly in the middle of a Saturday afternoon -- is a naked woman running down Government Street. But that’s exactly what happened last weekend when police were called to the area of Government Street near the YMCA after Ocean Springs dispatch received multiple calls regarding a nude female heading westbound in full view of those working out at the YMCA and dozens of patrons at the adjacent Crawfish House. According to the incident report obtained by The Mississippi Press, patrolman Dimitrius Cruz responded to the call, arriving at the scene to find a fellow officer had already made contact with the woman. Cruz wrote in his report that the woman was behaving erratically, so was placed in handcuffs and inside a patrol car....
