CaughtOnCamera - this sequence of images shows a feral cat being lured into a cage trap set up at Scotia Wildlife Sanctuary (NSW). Scotia is one of the most important nature reserves in the Murray-Darling basin, with one of the largest fox and cat-free areas on mainland Australia. This 8,000-hectare feral free safe haven is home to some of the largest remaining populations of threatened mammals such as Bilbies, Numbats, and Bridled Nailtail Wallabies. Outside of the fence, our land management and feral predator control programs protect a wealth of other inland biodiversity, such as the Southern Ningaui and Bolam’s Mouse + >170 bird species + >50 reptile species.
