A nearly perfect sword which was recently found is almost 3,000 years old!

The sword was found in southern Germany. It is nearly 3,000 years old and was found in a grave which contained other items, such as arrowheads, which can be seen in the photo. The sword is in excellent condition, and its hexagonal hilt (bottom part) is unusual for the era and place that it was found, making it an even rarer find.

The type of sword that was found is most likely used for slashing rather than stabbing and thrusting, and it is well-balanced for its age.

There were 3 people buried in the grave, a man, a woman and a younger person though it is unknown what their relationship was. They were not initially buried all together but in quick succession, one after the other.
