The only powerful military the Germans defeated was France
German soldiers mock the recent Allied defeat in France by wearing captured British and French helmets, 1940
It was all Russian in the East, But it was all America in the West. UK didn’t make enough of a difference in the war to be a game changer.
The English codebreakers are one of the major reasons the Allies won the war. Also, they developed new radar technology that was critical to win the battle of the Atlantic.
In 1940 the Battle of Britain was lost and Germany invaded by 42 then how would the day have worked? America sails across the Atlantic?, the day was also pretty equal in number between Britain and America along with Canada
The Pacific front, but the US hard-carried that. Not meaning to downplay the efforts of say the Philippines, but Hitler didn’t want the US in the war. Japan dragged them into that conflict in the first place. That’s not saying the US were the reason the Germans lost, but they played a big factor.
Hitler didn’t want Britain in the war either. He assumed that we would buckle under and enter a treaty with Germany and was working hard for that outcome for nearly a year after the start of hostilities in 1939. He knew if that happened that there was enough of an isolationist contingent in the USA that they would never fight a war.

Hitler had planned an invasion of Britain in 1940 (Operation SeaLion) so he could take care of the British before turning east to the Soviets.
He didn't order bombing of London until he realized Churchill would not entertain peace terms, then began the blitz on London... That wasn't until early fall/late summer 1940; the bombings had been taking place for months by then, but due to fierce British air defense w/ the RAF, AA guns and coastal radar it kept getting pushed back. From summer 1940, too late summer, and finally to late September 1940 where Hitler scrapped Op SeaLion because "invasion season" was over, as in the weather was not suitable for invasion across the English Channel. So due to this, and a bunch of other factors Hitler could not invade Britain before the weather was too foul, which meant the British had about 5 months to build more planes, more AA guns, more infantry equipment, produce more ammunition etc.
The war probably would have dragged on much much longer than 1945 if the Germans did manage to take mainland Britain, I would wager the allies would still "win" in the end but at a much higher cost.
After The First World War everyone slashed their defence budgets. Germany was the only one secretly arming itself with new modern weapons. Not only that, in 1941 the Axis powers had the resources of almost all of Europe but still lost to Russian farm boys with few weeks of training. What does that tell you?
The only powerful military the Germans defeated was France. That's it. And even that was more because of the military incompetence of the French generals who had their heads far up the ass of WW1.
