On this day, June 28, 2016, A tanker laden with petrol caused commotion among motorists after catching fire along the Lagos/Ibadan expressway on Tuesday the 26th January, 2016.. The burning fuel tanker fell and completely blocked the Lagos/Ibadan route at Ade-best auto mechanical workshop after Sapade bridge. Road officials have to arrive the scene to control the traffic situation

A petrol-laden tanker exploded and went up in flames on Sunday on the Longbridge area of the Expressway.

It was gathered that the incident happened around 4:30 pm after the tanker collided with a sport utility vehicle.
