Have you guy's heard of this case? It's a wierd one.
Christopher Thompkins was a 20 year old young man living with his mother. He was working in a wooded area near County Line Road off of Warm Springs Road in Harris County, Georgia, on January 25, 2002.
He was accompanied by three co workers, all of whom worked approximately 50 feet from one another. One of the co workers looked away from Christopher for a split second; by the time he glanced at his area again, Christopher had disappeared.
His tools were scattered, and he was nowhere to be seen. It didn't make any sense to the co workers as they would have seen him, It was flat terrain. The co workers called his name and searched for him but what they found is quite strange. They found one of Christopher's work boots on top of a barbed wire fence that ran through the area as well as his work pants on the same barbed wire fence with 12 cents scattered on the ground.
The co workers called police approximately 4 hours later. Police canvased the area and used sniffer dogs but no scent was found. The police believed he had just walked off and didn't look further into his case. 5 months later his other work boot was found on private property less then a mile where he disappeared from. His case was featured in the book "Missing 411".
His mom believes foul play is the most likely scenario.
His case isn't that relatively known in true crime and there isn't much information about it but the least I could do is share his story with the best information available.
