On this day June 14, A woman in Nabidago cell Masabasi ward, Mutufu town council in Sironko district on Wednesday died with her child after poisoning herself and three children over domestic violence. According to eyewitness who identified the deceased as Cherope Scovia a mother of three children. They claim that her husband who is a UPDF soldier who has been serving on a mission in somalia came back and married another woman and never returned home. Nafuna Juliet another eyewitness said, a heartless mother poisoned herself and her three children and died with one child. Nafuna says this could have been because of domestic violence. The husband has been having an affair with another woman and the deceased had reported the issue at Sironko police station. "They were supposed to have ameeting on Monday but police postponed to Wednesday which is today, maybe she couldn't manage to wait," Juliet revealed. She noted that at one time her UPDF husband had come back from Somalia, the deceased visited him in Bombo Barracks but poured hot water on him and he came home and picked the TV set with some of his belongings and went away. She noted that, two children who survived are in critical conditions and recieving treatment at Mbale regional Hospital.
